Security Statement

Your information protection is very important to us. When you place an order, it is placed through a secure server. This server encrypts all information you input before it is sent. Once we receive your information, we protect it against unauthorized use.

We collect information volunteered by the consumer, such as survey information and/or site registrations. We do not share your e-mail address with other companies. If you supply us with your physical postal address on-line you may receive periodic mailings from us with information on new products and services or upcoming events.

Persons who supply us with their telephone numbers online will only receive telephone contact from us with information regarding orders they have placed. With respect to Ad Servers we do not partner with or have special relationships with any Ad Server companies. From time to time, we may use customer information for new, unanticipated uses not previously disclosed in our privacy notice. If our information practices change at some time in the future we will post the policy changes to our Web site to notify you of these changes and provide you with the ability to opt out of these new uses. Customers may prevent their information from being used for purposes other than those for which it was originally collected by e-mailing us.

With respect to security we always use industry-standard encryption technologies when transferring and receiving consumer data exchanged with our site. We have appropriate security measures in place in our physical facilities to protect against the loss, misuse or alteration of information that we have collected from you at our site. Shaevitz grants you a limited license to access and make personal use of this site and not to download (other than page caching) or modify it, or any portion of it, except with the express written consent of Shaevitz. YOUR ACCOUNT

If you use this site, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password and for restricting access to your computer, and you agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account or password. Shaevitz reserves the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, remove or edit content, or cancel or limit orders in its sole discretion.

SHIPPING POLICY

When shipping within the U.S, we primarily use FedEx.

NO INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

At this time, Shaevitz does not ship outside the U.S.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTIONS

Shaevitz attempts to be as accurate as possible. However, Shaevitz does not warrant that product descriptions, pricing or other content on this site is accurate, complete, reliable, current or error-free. If a product or service offered by Shaevitz itself is not as described, your sole remedy is to return it in unused condition for an exchange or refund, subject to our Return Policy below.

PRICING

With respect to items sold by Shaevitz, we cannot confirm the price of an item until you order, however we do NOT charge your credit card until we have shipped your order. Despite our best efforts, a small number of the items may be mis-priced. If an item's correct price is higher than our stated price, we will, at our discretion, either contact you for instructions before shipping or cancel your order and notify you of such cancellation.

You are responsible for sales tax and other applicable taxes, whether or not they are specifically set forth on the site, order confirmation, receipt, shipping notice or any other document or notice, electronic or otherwise.

QUANTITIES

Shaevitz reserves the right to limit quantities of any item available on the site in its sole discretion, whether or not a limit is noted on the site. We further reserve the right not to honor any orders which we believe to be fraudulent or illegal under applicable law.

KOSHER CERTIFICATIONS

Shaevitz operates under the supervision of Rabbi Sander Mussman. You, the customer, however, must determine whether the items you purchase meet your particular kosher standards. Shaevitz does not warrant that the products you order comply with your particular kosher standard.

We are not responsible for examining or evaluating, and we do not warrant or endorse, the offerings of any businesses or individuals or the content of their web sites other than our own. Shaevitz does not assume any responsibility or liability for the actions, product and content of sites that it links to. DISCOUNTS

Coupons cannot be combined with any other offer, and when multiple discounts or offers overlap, the greater one will be the one that is honored.

RETURN POLICY

If there is a problem with the product that you receive, please email us within 24 hours of receipt of your order and please make sure to include the following:

Your name
Your address.
Your email address.
Your order confirmation number.
The reason for your return.
Please state whether you would like a refund or an exchange.

Shaevitz reserves the right to approve or refuse return requests in its sole discretion. Upon receipt of your email, we will send an email back to you with further instructions regarding your return.

After you receive your return code, please wrap your package securely, and enclose a copy of the email that we send you.

In the event that you are returning perishable food items to us, they must be returned within 48 hours of your receiving the merchandise. All other items must be returned within 7 days of your receiving them.

We recommend that you return your package via UPS or insured mail for your protection. We do not refund shipping costs, and a 5% restocking fee will apply to all items returned, unless your return is attributable to our error.

Please note that any items that are made as a special order are not returnable. We will also not accept return of any item that has been excessively used or consumed, or mishandled.

If you choose a refund rather than an exchange, the full purchase price for the merchandise you return will be credited to the same form of payment used for the original purchase. Please allow 1-2 billing cycles for the refund credit to appear on your statement.

APPLICABLE LAW

By visiting Shaevitz, you agree that the laws of the state of Illinois will govern these Terms and Conditions and any dispute of any sort that might arise between you and Shaevitz.

DISPUTES

Any dispute relating in any way to your visit to Shaevitz or to the products or services sold or distributed by Shaevitz shall be adjudicated in any state court in Lake County, Illinois or the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, and you consent to exclusive jurisdiction and venue in such courts. Any claims or causes of action arising out of your use of the site must be filed within one (1) year after such claim or cause of action arose or shall be forever barred.

Shaevitz respects the intellectual property of others. If you believe that your work has been copied in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, please promptly advise us in writing of the requested information below. Please note that this procedure is exclusively for notifying Shaevitz that your copyrighted material has been infringed.

An electronic or physical signature of the person authorized to act on behalf of the -owner of the copyright interest;
A description of the copyrighted work that you claim has been infringed upon;
A description of where the material that you claim is infringing is located on the site;
Your address, telephone number and e-mail address;
A statement by you that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law;
A statement by you, made under penalty of perjury, that the above information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the copyright owner's behalf.

SITE POLICIES, MODIFICATION, AND SEVERABILITY

Please review our other policies posted on this site. These policies also govern your visit to Shaevitz. We reserve the right to make changes to our site, policies, and these Terms and Conditions at any time. If any of these terms and conditions shall be deemed invalid, void, or for any reason unenforceable, that term or condition shall be deemed severable and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining terms and conditions. These Terms and Conditions supersede any prior version and, together with the other policies posted on the site, contain the entire agreement between you and Shaevitz.

VIOLATION OF TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Please note that if we, at any time, determine that you have abused or violated the letter or intent of any of these Terms of and Conditions, or any applicable law, we reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the site and all related services, and to take any responsive action that we deem necessary.
